Broomieknowe were worthy winners of the Edinburgh Ladies Inter-Club Tournament at Turnhouse.
They regained the title after it had been “on loan” for a year at Glencorse with a commanding performance in the 16-team event.
Liberton and Turnhouse had both been swept aside in earlier rounds before the Bonnyrigg club beat Kingsknowe 4&3 in their toughest match of the week.
Their hopes of facing Glencorse in the final were dashed as the title holders lost 3&1 to Murrayfield in the other semi-final.
And, despite a plucky effort from the Murrayfield quartet, they were overpowered 8&7 by a Broomieknowe side containing the perfect blend of youth and experience.
In the top match, Hannah Scott and Sandra Hennessy finished two up after 15 on Debbie Hay-Smith and Caroline Steedman.
And, at the back, Midlothian Women’s champion Kate McIntosh joined Wendy Nicholson to be six up after 14 on Caroline Johnstone and Pat Walkingshaw.
