Scotland completed a magnificant double after Perth’s Scott Donaldson won the European Amateur Snooker championships in Latvia.

Donaldson, 18, came through a field of 80 of Europe’s top amateur players, defeating Brendan O’Donoghue (Ireland) 7-3 in the final.

His win guarantees him a two-year invitation to the Professional Main Tour, joining Midlothian’s Michael Leslie, 19, who won the European Under-21 Championship this year.
