The Lothians star made it to the last day in the ISPS Handa World Super 6 event in western Australia after earning a late call-up for that event a fortnight ago.

And, on the back of that, he is feeling quietly confident as he now prepares to join the likes of Stephen Gallacher and Richie Ramsay in the last of four main Tour events in the UAE in the early part of the season.

“I’m very chuffed to be in this week and grateful to have another opportunity,” said Forrest of a chance that was secured for him by his Capital-based management company, Bounce Sport. “Perth was a good start to the year and I feel like my game is in a good place, so I am just trying to make the most of every chance I get.”

Gallacher will be aiming to build on his ninth-place finish in Oman, where Ramsay was a late withdrawal due to illness.
