Gullane duo Aidan Lawson and Grace Crawford both produced record-breaking performances in becoming “Wee Wonders” at St Andrews.
Lawson won the boys’ 7-8 year-old section in the national event with a new low of one-under 89 for three rounds on the Balgove Course.
And Crawford emulated the feat in the girls’ 9-10 section with the same total after carding matching scores of 29-29-31.
Eight-year-old Lawson is a member of both Bruntsfield Links and Gullane and also plays at Archerfield Links with his dad, John.
“He did really well, especially setting a new record ” said John of the pupil at St Margaret’s Primary School in South Queensferry.
