McGarvey sitting in second place – twice

Have your say

GLENCORSE golf star Sean McGarvey is back in the top two in both the scratch and handicap orders of merit in this season’s Edinburgh & East of Scotland Alliance.

The amateur ace carded a 67 off scratch in the opening 2012 event over Gullane No. 3 on Wednesday to continue his excellent campaign.

It cemented second place in the handicap order of merit behind the leader, Daniel Airens of Falkirk Tryst.

And McGarvey is back in the same position in the scratch table after jumping above Houston Driving Range pro Andrew Marshall.

McGarvey is now on 400 points, trailing leader Stephen Lamb (Cardrona) by 17.5 points. The next event takes place in a fortnight’s time at the Glen at North Berwick.
