NEIL HENDERSON is on a roll in the East Alliance after completing back-to-back trophy triumphs.
His latest success was a joint-effort with Renaissance clubmate David Neill in a member-guest event at The Roxburghe. They secured the Richardson and Brownlee Trophy with a net 64, winning by three shots at the Kelso course.
Henderson, who made it to stage two in this year’s European Tour Qualifying School, had also picked up the silverware in the previous outing at Musselburgh.
On a day that brought sunshine, no wind and no rain, the clubhouse target had been set by Torwoodlee amateurs David Brydon (5) and Colin Riddle (+1) with a gross 68 and net 66.
And it wasn’t until the last match that Henderson and Neill, who plays off eight, came in with their trophy-winning effort. The East Lothian duo were also just one shot away from claiming the scratch spoils as well but Brydon and Riddle held on to them.
