RYDER CUP hopeful Stephen Gallacher has already made one ‘team’ that features Paul McGinley and also US Open champion Justin Rose.

The Lothians star has joined the illustrious pair in becoming an ‘Ashworth Ambassador’ on the European Tour.

It follows Gallacher signing a new three-year deal with TaylorMade-adidas Golf until the end of the 2016 season.

The 39-year-old had been using the company’s clubs but will also now wear the same Ashworth clothing as Ryder Cup captain McGinley and US-based English ace Rose.

“I am delighted to be continuing to work with TaylorMade Golf and to be an ambassador for the Ashworth clothing brand,” said Gallacher, who is sporting his new gear for the first time in this week’s HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship.

“I have seen a steady improvement in my game over the past two years and I am confident that, with this continued support, my game will be in a good place and ready to allow me to compete with those at the very top.”
