GOLF coach Oliver Morton is swapping Swanston for Scottsdale to take up an exciting new post.
He’s been appointed by four of the game’s leading coaches to run the first high performance junior golf academy in the American Southwest.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to work with some of the best coaches and juniors in the world as an academy director,” said Morton of his role with GenNXT Golf.
He’ll be working for Pia Nilsson, Lynn Marriott, Dr Rick Jensen and Henry Brunton at Talking Sticking Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
It will be the base for the ground-breaking academy for aspiring golfers from 14 to 18 years of age.
The aim is to establish the GenNXT Golf Academy as the No 1 high performance junior golf academy in the world.
“It will be the gold standard in the sport, providing the next generation of aspiring elite golf athletes with second-to-none coaching, training and sport science support,” said Nilsson.
Morton, a fully-qualified PGA pro, spent five years at Swanston New, where he delivered junior and holistic coaching through his Leading Edge Golf Company.
