Warner secures Harry Lauder trophy success

Have your say

DAVID WARNER (Haddington) won the Harry Lauder golf trophy at Portobello last night for the first time when he defeated former champion Iain Randall (Silverknowes) 1 up.

The players were all square going up the par-3 final hole when Warner, a former Lothians’ boys champion, got up and down to win having been 2 up at the turn and 4 up through five holes.

In the handicap event, last year’s beaten finalist Jack Bonynge beat Norrie Ward, also from Portobello, 4 and 3.
