Broomieknowe 14-year-old Darling, who retained her Scottish Girls’ title at Moray Golf Club last month, is heading for Ballybunion in Ireland for the girls’ four-cornered event. And Wilson, the 17-year-old Castle Park player who claimed the Scottish Boys’ crown at the Lossiemouth venue, is heading to Royal Dornoch for the boys’ equivalent.

They both earned automatic selection, as did West Linton’s Gemma Batty for the women’s event, which also takes place at Ballybunion, as the Scottish Women’s champion.

The Scottish side for the Men’s Home Internationals, which take place at Conwy in Wales in mid-September, isn’t announced until August 30.
