Edinburgh Capitals defenceman Tyler Plews has been named in the Great Britain Under-20 squad for next month’s World Championship in Budapest.
The 19-year-old had been selected as part of GB’s training squad, but has been confirmed as being part of the squad that takes on hosts Hungary, in addition to Slovenia, Poland, Italy and Ukraine in Division 1B.
The GB youngsters won bronze at the the competition last year in France, and will hope to match that achievement again this year.
Under-20s head coach Tommy Watkins said: “We know we have a tough five games at this level ahead of us next month, but the squad is ready for the challenge.”
The tournament takes place between the December 11 and 17.
