The Prestonpans light welterweight is relishing the chance to take his pro record to four consecutive wins in front of more than 20,000 fans at the Manchester Arena on Saturday, February 27, an event which will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office and on Showtime in the US.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medalist has won by knockout in each of his three previous professional bouts since teaming up with boxing legend Barry McGuigan and Cyclone Promotions last summer.

“I am absolutely delighted to be appearing on this massive Sky Sports Box Office show at such an early stage of my professional career,” said Taylor, 25.

“Boxing on the undercard of my stable-mate Carl Frampton on a huge night for British and Irish boxing will be a special moment in my career. I want to be headlining shows like this one day.”

Taylor’s opponent is scheduled to be announced within the coming weeks.
