Calum – the youngest of the two brothers – was bidding to capture the Jack High Insurance-sponsored Junior Open title for a third time having etched his name on The Fred Meikle Trophy in 2010 and 2014.

Logan, 27, who made his full cap debut for Scotland in 2014, gave his opponent Shaun Cairns of Harrysmuir (Livingston) no time to settle and accelerated into an 18-2 lead after ten ends.

Cairns carded a single to 3 but there was no way back for the 2015 semi-finalist with Logan landing a one-two knockout blow to clinch a 21-3 win in a super-quick 13 ends.

Scott Logan has achieved Hamilton Trophy status with East Lothian but was yet to set the record books on fire in his native West Lothian. So, he will be delighted to have bagged the County Fours title playing
second to Darren Pearce, Mark Allison and Neil Speirs.

Kirkliston turned an encouraging start into a 13-4 lead after nine ends against Scott Middlemiss, Dave McQueen, Eddie Caulfield and Simon Lamb of Bellsburn before clinching a 17-9 win.

Raymond Logan, 61, a veteran of ten international campaigns and a winner of the 1998 Scottish Singles title, skipped Andi Gray in the Mark Feeney-sponsored Pairs for the Dalyell Shield.

Gray was defending the title having won it the previous year with Speirs and his dreams of basking in the limelight yet again were boosted by a terrific start that saw the partnership card 1 (1), 3, 5, 7 to have Whitburn’s Mark Finlayson and Robert Knox at their 16-1 mercy.

There was no way back for Whitburn, and the commanding 22-8 victory of Gray/Logan triggered the KBC celebrations of a unique ‘father and two sons’ achievement of WLBA title wins on the same night.
