Former Mazars Grange player Finlay McCreath, now with Wawrickshire) is also included alongside fellow newcomer Josh Wood. Carson, who moved to the Capital from Reading and is in his fifth season at Myreside, has played well for his club in recent months in the CSL Eastern Premier Division, but it has been his form with the Eastern Knights that has shot him to prominence.

He top scored for them with 225 runs in the recent regional 50-over tournament, scoring 92 in the last game last Sunday.

As well as Carson and McCreath, Grange’s Dylan Budge and Heriot’s Elliot Ruthven will be involved in this game.
