American football: Wolves blow away Hurricanes

Have your say

The Wolves continued their exceptional BAFA National League form with a convincing 49-6 victory over Dundee Hurricanes at Meadowbank, scoring over 40 points for the fourth time this season.

Quarter-back Jamie Morrison found Lloyd Dignan with a lofted pass to start the scoring before Morrison got his second rushing touchdown of the season.

The Hurricanes’ Kris Gibson found his way to the end zone after a short catch, but Morrison fed Andrew MacIver with a superb 37-yard pass to give the Wolves a two-score advantage, before Kieran Smith and Stephen MacFarlane put the game beyond doubt.

The biggest cheer of the day was for Wolves favourite Callum Innes, who made his first score in seven years at the club.
