The Edinburgh Wolves secured the BAFA North Football Conference Division 1 title and confirmed their place in the end-of-season play-offs with a 61-6 away victory over the West Coast Trojans.
The Trojans had taken a surprise early lead when Wolves quarterback Jamie Morrison was intercepted before the ball was returned 60 yards for a touchdown.
It was the first time this season the Wolves had been behind and they reacted in the perfect fashion as they dominated the rest of the game.
Running back Steve Wilson ran in a couple of touchdowns as the Trojans defence struggle against the ground game. Wide receivers David Orr, Stu Galloway and Steve McFarlane all also found the end zone as the Wolves went in at half-time with a 34-6 lead.
The visitors continued to control the game in the second half and Morrison quickly found David Orr, who added his second of the afternoon.
With the Wolves in cruise control, Morrison was replaced by rookie quarterback Liam Brown, taking the opportunity to gain some valuable game time. He threw a superb pass to Orr, allowing Ross Young to run in his first touchdown of the afternoon from two yards out. Galloway and Young both added further touchdowns for the Capital side.
