Musselburgh Racecourse are offering free entry to their next meeting on Wednesday, January 20.
With the support of on-course bookmakers at the track, the normal £20 admission cost is being waived.
And, with a large number of abandonments over the two weeks due to rain, Musselburgh is expected a large number of entries for the fixture.
Musselburgh Racecourse general manager Bill Farnsworth said: “With a good number of meetings being called off, there is a build-up of horses needing races on decent ground and we can offer that at Musselburgh on Wednesday.
“Thanks to the support of our on-course bookmakers we will be opening our doors for free so it’s a great opportunity for new racegoers to discover the thrill of competitive jumps racing, plus it’s a nice pick-me-up for our regular customers after the expensive holiday season.”
Those interested in attending can book their free ticket in advance via the course’s online booking system or simply turn up at the turnstiles on the day.
Gates open at 11am and the first race is at 12.40pm.
