INVERLEITH’S Chris Grassick has been included in Scotland’s senior hockey men’s squad for four internationals against Belgium and England this weekend.
Kenny Bain, Iain Scholefield and David Forsyth, who all play in the Netherlands, have been selected while six members of the 12-strong squad play in England.
The party includes Tayside-born brothers Niall and Ross Stott who both play for free-scoring English side East Grinstead.
The matches are a warm-up for the EuroHockey Indoor Nations Championship, B Division, in Bern, Switzerland, from January 17-19.
Forsyth said: “The Tri-Nations against Belgium and England is very much about preparations for the European tournament in Switzerland. I’m not placing focus on the results this weekend, more the opportunity for the players to have pitch time both in training and in competitive matches.”
