Hockey: Grange aim to keep up chase on Kelburne

GRANGE aim to keep the pressure on Division One hockey pacesetters Kelburne when they travel to Aberdeen tomorrow (2.00pm).

The Edinburgh side are second in the table, eight points behind the reigning champions.

Aberdeen, masterminded by former Grange star Craig Harper, are likely to be a totally different proposition to the ill-disciplined group who were thrashed in the league at Fettes earlier in the season.

Grange warmed up with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Edinburgh University at Fettes and will look to take that form into the game.

Bottom club Watsonians have yet to record a point in their 12 games after being promoted last season. They entertain a Clydesdale team tomorrow (1.30pm) beaten 5-1 by Edinburgh University at Peffermill on Monday in a pre-season challenge at Peffermill.

Elsewhere, Kelburne host eighth-placed Hillhead while Western, who are third, entertain second-bottom Dundee Wanderers, who have won only one of their 12 games so far.
