Hockey: Grange aiming to cut Kelburne's lead at top

Grange will look to claw back some of Bromac Kelburne's five-point lead at the top of hockey's Division One when they host Edinburgh University at Fettes on Saturday (2.00).

The former league pacesetters have slipped up since the winter break but have 31 points from 14 games while Kelburne have 36 points from 15 fixtures.

The students, meanwhile, need points to stay out of the relegation dogfight. They have 15 points from 13 games and are sixth but were boosted by a road win last weekend to reach the Scottish Cup semi-finals at the expense of high-flying Grove Menzieshill.

Kelburne travel to Auchenhowie to face fourth-placed Western Wildcats, who are on 23 points from 14 starts.

Already-relegated Inverleith host seventh-placed Hillhead with the Glasgow side also looking to build on their 15 points as they bid to beat the drop.
