Hockey: Grange back on home soil on league duty

GRANGE return to Division One action tomorrow following their Euro Hockey League involvement in Hamburg last weekend with a home match against second-bottom Aberdeen outfit Gordonians.

On Sunday, Fettes-based Grange – currently sixth in the ten-strong table – host third-placed Kelburne.

Elsewhere, Edinburgh University, fresh from their confidence-boosting 1-0 win at Loughborough University in midweek in the British Universities and Colleges League, travel to seventh-placed PSL Team Sport Clydesdale. The students are fourth with eight points, two ahead of Clydesdale. Edinburgh University Ladies remain on top of the league and travel to fourth-placed Milne Craig Clydesdale Western tomorrow and can’t afford any slip-ups with Dundee-based Grove Menzieshill also on 13 points from five games. The Tayside team play sixth-placed Erskine Stewart’s Melville in Edinburgh.

Struggling Watsonians visit Western Wildcats in a key game in the basement area of the table while CALA Edinburgh are at bottom club GHK Ladies.
