Grange coach Colin Clarke claims his squad are a team in transition, but they will be anxious to bounce back after last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Clydesdale.
The Stockbridge club travel to Peffermill tomorrow (push- off 3.00) to meet city rivals Watsonians, who were whipped 11-0 by Kelburne in their league opener.
Watsonians bid for points last Friday was halted by fog when their Peffermill clash against Inverleith was abandoned at half-time with the score at 1-1.
They lost 3-0 to Edinburgh University in a challenge game last Monday and coach Calum Wood will look for an improvement.
Edinburgh University have played a number of pre-season matches, so coach Graham Moodie and his assistant Dave Reid have been able to make adjustments.
The acid test comes when they open their competitive campaign at home to Clydesdale (no time confirmed).
Inverleith travel to Dundee Wanderers looking for their first points of the season (2.00).
Elsewhere, Hillhead, humbled 4-1 at home by Aberdeen last Saturday, host Western (12.15) while champions and early pace-setters Kelburne visit second-placed Aberdeen (2.00).
