The Edinburgh Wolves recorded their third consecutive BAFA National League victory with a 52-7 win over the Dundee Hurricanes

The day started badly however as Dundee opened the scoring with a 50 yard touchdown. However, the Wolves hit back almost right away with a Tony Pinkerton run which helped tie the game up at 7-7.

From there the Wolves dominated. Murray Rendall put the Wolves in front with a 27 yard field kick.

Steve Macfarlane was next to score, hauling in a beautiful catch and running into the endzone, before an interception by corner Mike Rodger, who weaved into the Dundee end zone from about 40 yards out.

Further scores by Andy Maciver and Dave Orr put the Wolves up 38-7 at half-time.

The second half saw the Wolves getting new and inexperienced players much needed game time. Special teams chipped in with a fantastic Stuart Harrison punt return.

The final score of the afternoon saw running back Tony Pinkerton superbly battle his way into the endzone.

Head coach Don Edmonton was very happy with the overall performance. “We started flat but soon got into our stride. The buzzwords for the day were concentration and execution; I felt we had both.”
