Volleyball: City of Edinburgh in the driving seat

Have your say

City of Edinburgh took another step towards retaining their women’s SVL Premier volleyball title with a convincing 25-13, 25-23 25-17 win over Edinburgh Jets.

The win puts them in the driving-seat at the top of the league ahead of Su Ragazzi and Jets.

Ragazzi coach Vince Krawczyk remains confident his team can still topple City but the Capital team have the advantage.

At the bottom end of the table, Edinburgh’s NUVOC suffered an upset 18-25, 25-15, 19-25, 20-25 defeat by Aberdonia, who celebrated their first league win of the campaign.

In the men’s SVL Premier, Edinburgh Jets’ hopes of beating the drop suffered a setback when they lost 25-23, 18-25, 23-25, 16-25 to Glasgow Mets.

It leaves Jets bottom, having played a game more than Mets and second-bottom NUVOC.
