Edinburgh University will host the finals of the women’s European Under-19 Championships Small Countries Division in April.
The Scottish Volleyball Association has been given the honour of organising the event after successfully staging senior women’s European qualifiers and international beach volleyball in the last two years.
Scotland will face Cyprus, the Faroes, Luxembourg and Northern Ireland on a round-robin basis from April 1-3 at the Pleasance.
There are no top-flight Scottish League games this weekend due to international squad training but the line-up is now known for the Scottish Cup quarter-finals later this month.
Scottish Cup quarter-final draws: Men: South Ayrshire v South Ayrshire II; Edinburgh University v City of Glasgow Ragazzi; City of Edinburgh v Bellshill Cardinals; NUVOC v Dundee. Women: QTS Troon v Dundee University; City of Edinburgh v QTS Troon II; NUVOC v Edinburgh Jets; Su Ragazzi v Edinburgh University or North Grampian. Ties to be played on Feb 27.
