The Edinburgh Wolves completed their first-ever unbeaten regular season with their tenth victory of the season, a 31-7 win at the Yorkshire Rams in the BAFA North Division 1.
The American football team face the Nottingham Caesars on Sunday in their opening play-off game at Peffermill (kick-off 2.30pm) after progressing as the No.1 ranked side and securing home-field advantage for all of their remaining games as they seek to reach their third consecutive Brit Bowl final.
Following a tight opening to the game in Yorkshire, the Wolves struck first as Jason Gray tackled the Rams quarterback in his own end zone for a safety.
With the very next possession, Wolves quarterback Jamie Morrison found receiver Stu Galloway with a short pass, allowing him the space to find the end zone.
MVP Adam Ingram was next to score for the Wolves, using his height to reach a long pass.
Morrison used his quick thinking and fast feet to sneak into the end zone early in the second half to further extend the lead, before the Rams pulled a score back with short pass.
The Wolves replied quickly, however, to regain their advantage as Steven Wilson ran the ball in from a few yards out to seal the victory.
