GORDON AMOUR, Murray Collins, Gregor Hirst and Hamish Imrie are set to earn their first senior international caps as Scotland play Spain in three hockey matches in Barcelona from tomorrow.

Amour has been outstanding in midfield for Edinburgh University this season and Imrie, already a Great Britain under-21 player, has been a consistent marksman with Grange.

Collins’ form has been noted with Loughborough University and Gregor Hirst has impressed with Clydesdale in Division One this season.

Coach Derek Forsyth’s squad will be tested against a nation rated No.11 in the International Hockey Federation (FIH) world rankings, 16 places ahead of Scotland.

The triple-header tomorrow, Friday and Saturday is to help Spain prepare for a World League event in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires next month, part of qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Scotland: Gavin Sommerville (Western Wildcats), Jamie Cachia (Beeston), Michael Ross, Gavin Byers (both Grove Menzieshill), William Marshall, Alan Forsyth (both Surbiton), Ross Stott (East Grinstead), David Forsyth, Kenny Bain (both Hurley), Nicky Parkes (Sheffield Hallam), Gordon Amour (Edinburgh University), Hamish Imrie (Grange), Wei Adams (Canterbury), Lee Morton, Ross McIntyre (both Kelburne), Murray Collins (Loughborough University), Russell Anderson (Cannock), Gregor Hirst (Clydesdale).
