INVERLEITH go into the second weekend of Scottish hockey’s indoor championship top of the Division One table on goal difference.

The champions head for Perth to play sixth-placed PSL Team Sport Clydesdale and MJV Dundee Wanderers, who are fourth. Stuart Neave’s side collected seven points from their three games in Stirling last weekend as did last season’s runners-up Grove Menzieshill. The Tayside team play Dundee Wanderers and Clydesdale in Perth tomorrow.

Edinburgh’s other representatives, Grange, who are second bottom of the eight-strong table with a point from three games, face Western Wildcats and Uddingston Riva.

Their coach Callum Milne said: “Again we will be taking some younger boys up but our realistic aim is to come away with a minimum of four points this weekend.”
