Edinburgh judoka Sarah Adlington struck gold at the Oceania Open in Wollongong, Australia, to boost her world ranking as she aims for a place at the Olympics in Rio next year.

The Commonwealth champion beat American Nina Cutro-Kelly to win the heavyweight title.

Kimberley Renicks won bronze in the Under-48kg event, losing to American Katelyn Bouyssou in the semi-finals but coming back to beat another American Anne Suzuki for third place.
