Rugby: 109-0 romp makes it seven deadly wins for Inverleith

Inverleith went try crazy on Saturday as they kept up their perfect start to the RBS East Three season with a 109-0 home thumping of Walkerburn.

The superb performance at Arboretum means that Inverleith have won seven league matches from seven and bagged a bonus point in every one.

Leith are still on their tails though and they have 35 points also, albeit from eight matches played, after seeing off Broughton 32-12.

Craig Smith rounded things off with a well-worked try at the death for the hosts at Academy Park while Penicuik won 23-5 at Moray House and Queensferry went down 26-8 at 
St Boswells.

Livingston made it a perfect ten in RBS East One, but were pushed all the way before seeing off Dunbar.

They won 19-14 at Hallhill thanks to tries from captain Andy McMahon and Craig 
Bolan and points from the 
respective boots of Bolan and Dean Edwards.

Dunbar’s points came through converted tries by 
Calum Champion and Liam Clutton.

North Berwick became just the second team to defeat Preston Lodge in the league, pipping their East Lothian rivals 27-24.

Callum Mark, Grant Craig, Liam West, Quinton Caufield and Graeme Fairgrieve scored the tries for the hosts.

Cameron Walker, Gavin Hume and Rory Thomson bagged tries as Portobello won 33-15 at Berwick, RHC Cougars defeated Langholm 48-19 and Linlithgow lost at Duns.

Forrester are third in RBS East Two after a 31-17 win over Hawick Harlequins.

Trinity Accies defeated Edinburgh Northern, but Dalkeith, Ross High and Lismore, all lost in the Borders.
