Rugby: Champion gives Dunbar title

Dunbar won the RBS East Two title on Saturday following a comfortable victory over Earlston.

The previous week the Borderers had become the first team to defeat Dunbar in all competitions in 2011/12, but this time around there was no chance of a repeat at Hallhill.

Calum Champion led the way with three tries and indeed this match was finished by half-time with Dunbar amazingly leading 50-0 at that stage.

Elsewhere in that division at the weekend Dalkeith lost 28-12 at home to Hawick Harlequins while Broughton saw off Penicuik 16-11.

In the battle at the top of RBS East Three Edinburgh Northern travelled to Academy Park and defeated Leith 22-12.
