Rugby: Clitheroe’s hat-trick sees Inverleith dispose of closest rivals Leith

Chris Clitheroe bagged a hat-trick of tries as Inverleith defeated Leith in the battle of the top two in RBS East Three on Saturday.

The match was in doubt on Friday night due to the rain but Arboretum was playable come Saturday lunchtime and both teams gave it their all in this one. Eventually the hosts won 29-14 with Clitheroe leading the way with his three scores.

It means they have won eight from eight in the league and all with bonus points and they now lead Leith by five points with a game in hand.
