Rugby: It’ll be ‘Who Dares Wins’ for Scotland

SCOTLAND’S rugby full back Stuart Hogg today insisted the team can draw inspiration from the teachings of a former SAS officer when they face Italy in Rome on Saturday.

It has been elicited from coach Andy Robinson that the team have taken part in motivational workshops and later it emerged that speaker Floyd Woodrow has been involved in similar sessions with Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Hogg, 19, said: “He has focused us on the task in hand and his knowledge is unbelievable.”

Asked what areas Woodrow had covered, Hogg said: “He talked about aggression and communication which are massive parts of playing a game of rugby.

“He said there was a massive improvement between the two sessions where we worked in groups of five to begin with then as forwards and backs.

“The boys are back on the ball. It was just another voice, and to have some outside knowledge is great. I have worked with him a couple of times at Glasgow and hopefully we can repay the coaches and him.”
