Rugby: Threat posed by George

Edinburgh Rugby coach Michael Bradley today warned his side of a major threat lurking within Scarlets’ ranks ahead of tonight’s RaboDirect Pro 12 League clash at Murrayfield.

Still a fortnight shy of his 20th birthday, winger George North, 6ft 4in and 17 stone, already has 22 caps for Wales and has scored five international tries.

Bradley, whose side seek a first win in eight league starts, said of North: “We will manage the situation as best we can. He (North) is a player who has to be closed down early because he has shown in international matches in recent times, particularly against Ireland, that he can be extremely dangerous.”
