The former Murrayfield Wanderers and Watsonians coach has been at the helm of the BT Premiership club since the summer of 2013.

In his first season in charge, he led the first XV to promotion into the top flight. Last term, they managed to stay up in the BT Premiership and also won the BT Cup by defeating Hawick in the final.

This season they have once again stayed up in the top league but were knocked out of the BT Cup by Hawick recently.

Club spokesperson Ally Hay said: “Bruce’s positive energy has been infectious through the club and he leaves Boroughmuir in a much better place than he found it. We at the club wish Bruce well.”
