Dalkeith have now scored 38 tries in two matches after they put Earlston to the sword 98-6 on Saturday in RBS East Two.

Last week the Midlothian men ran in 22 tries to see off Lismore 133-0 and followed it up with 16 against the Borderers to end November on a high note.

Steven Hamilton scored six last week and got another three tries in this one, while Chris Naylor also bagged a hat-trick and has 12 for the campaign now. Gary Smith and Lee Brady both scored two, while six other players took the opportunity to get on the scoresheet and Paul Clugston kicked a number of conversions.

Berwick remain second after they thumped struggling Lismore 148-0 at Inch Park, while Forrester are continuing to go well in third with a 65-0 win at Leith.

Trinity Accies beat Penicuik 29-0 and Inverleith won 17-3 at Edinburgh Northern.

Dunbar did not play in RBS East One, but held a minute’s silence on the Hallhill pitch as a mark of respect to the three local teenagers who died in a car accident last week.

The top three secured wins, Preston Lodge defeating Portobello 57-5, RHC beating Hawick Linden 61-7 and North Berwick getting the better of Hawick Harlequins 39-6. Linlithgow also won 22-9 at Duns.

In the only two games on in RBS East Three Ross High and Broughton were both in top form. The men from Tranent won 80-0 against Queensferry, Broughton returning from Walkerburn with a 36-10 victory.
