Due to poor weather and the winter break there had been no matches in the division since December 12.

North Berwick themselves had not been in league action since December 5, but the leaders showed no signs of rustiness on Saturday as the defeated Hawick Harlequins 27-3 in the Borders.

Findlay Graham led the way for the East Lothian men with two tries while Jamie Dove and Matt Wallace also crossed to secure the bonus point.

Liam West added the other seven points through two conversions and a penalty and the result means that in their ten league wins to date North Berwick have scored 303 points.

They are nine points clear of St Boswells who defeated Murrayfield Wanderers 19-3, but failed to collect a bonus point.

Linlithgow are in third spot, two points behind St Boswells, after they defeated Duns 25-19.

Dalkeith got their fourth win of the campaign in style, thumping Hawick Linden 106-13 while Forrester beat Dunbar 29-20.

BT East Two leaders Penicuik defeated Trinity Accies 21-13.

Second placed Edinburgh Northern edged out Inverleith 8-5 while Portobello got the better of Ross High 16-15.

Neil Armstrong scored two tries in Broughton’s 25-17 home win over Liberton and Leith drew 11-11 at Langholm.

Lismore are in second in BT East Three after they saw off RDVC 36-12 in the only match in the division.
