PAUL VOY led the way with two tries as Preston Lodge won the battle of the top two in RBS East One on Saturday, playing some great rugby to see off Dunbar 55-11.

The two East Lothian clubs had won five and four matches respectively going into this one at the Pennypit and PL stayed out on top by overpowering the visitors and scoring eight tries.

As well as Voy’s double, Blair Robertson, Chris Dixon, Scott Rodgers, Jason Riley, Andrew Clark, and Darren Eales managed to go over, with Graeme Patterson kicking the remainder of the points.

RHC have gone back into second place after they managed to edge out North Berwick 19-10 at Recreation Park.

Linlithgow are level on points with Dunbar and sit fourth after they defeated Langholm 50-5, while Portobello lost 22-3 at Duns and Hawick Linden won the Hawick derby against the Harlequins.

Inverleith managed to secure their first win of the season in RBS East Two.

Diarmuid O’Connor and Mark Freeman scored tries for them and Mark Cant converted both as they won 14-11 at Lismore.

Dalkeith are still unbeaten at the top of the table after they swept aside Penicuik 71-5, while Forrester are third after winning 17-14 at Earlston.

Trinity Accies won 22-0 at Leith, but it was a bad day for Edinburgh Northern as they lost 113-0 to Berwick.

The former won 23-15 at Queensferry and the latter won 34-12 at Walkerburn.
