Edinburgh Rugby will hand a debut to centre Andries Strauss as they face the Dragons in the RaboDirect PRO12 on Sunday (kick-off 1.05pm).

The 29-year-old South African, who played under head coach Alan Solomons at the Southern Kings, lines up at Rodney Parade while Carl Bezuidenhout will make his first start at stand off.

Scotland lock Grant Gilchrist will return from Six Nations duty for tomorrow’s clash while there are places for fellow internationalists Nick De Luca, Jack Cuthbert and Tom Brown.

Cornell Du Preez moves to No.8 in the absence of David Denton while New Zealander Mike Coman skippers the side on his first start.

Edinburgh are without six Scotland internationalists selected to take on England in tomorrow’s Calcutta Cup clash.
