Edinburgh Rugby star Greig Tonks has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.
Tonks, who has played at both full back and stand off, was forced off the field as Scotland A drew 16-16 draw with England Saxons last week. He will require surgery to repair the damage and will be out of action for around four to six months.
Edinburgh head coach Alan Solomons said: “This is really disappointing news for Greig. He’s had a good season for the club and had performed well as injury cover in a new position. We all wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to him rejoining the squad at the start of pre-season.”
