Ex-Edinburgh coach Mouneimne back at old club

Have your say

OMAR MOUNEIMNE, the defence coach who left Edinburgh Rugby “for personal reasons” last week has returned to his previous club, the Port Elizabeth-based, Southern Kings.

“I was at a training session and Omar has already made a big impact,” says Kings president, Daniel “Cheeky” Watson.

Meabwhile, BT Scottish Rugby Cup holders Heriot’s face a difficult tie against Currie at Malleny Park in the third round.

The draw for matches to be played on Saturday, January 3 also produced a Capital encounter in which Edinburgh Accies will entertain Hawick.

Boroughmuir will visit the winners of Hawick YM v Lasswade.

An encounter between Kelso and Musselburgh will mean the quarter-final line-up will not be an all-Premiership affair.

Draw: Howe of Fife v GHA, Kelso v Musselburgh, Gala v Stirling County, Edinburgh Academicals v Hawick, Currie v Heriot’s, Glasgow Hawks v Melrose, Hamilton v Ayr, Hawick YM or Lasswade v Boroughmuir.
