Edinburgh Rugby coach Alan Solomons today refused to confirm that loan stars Ross Rennie and Stuart McInally could return from Bristol next season.
“Those things will come out in due course,” said a defensive-sounding Solomons when asked about the long-term position of the pair at a media briefing to preview tomorrow’s derby with Glasgow.
“Ross is a lovely bloke and Stu with the move to hooker - which I think is excellent - he needs game time and that will assist him as far as Scotland is concerned and him personally,
“The idea is that he can make that move and challenge for the national team in due course in that position.”
“These things will be dealt with in the fullness of time.
“Let’s just see how things pan out. At the moment our focus should be on the weekend.”
