Former academy player at Edinburgh Rugby, Stevie McColl, will be performing in England’s Premiership next season after today joining Gloucester from Leeds Carnegie.

The move comes at the end of a season in which full back McColl, 25, who started at Dunfermline, was called into Scotland’s squad for the Autumn Tests without managing to progress to a cap debut.

Gloucester coach Nigel Davies said: “He was part of the Edinburgh academy at one stage and moved to get more opportunities.”
