The teams played out an 2-2 stalemate in the first SWPL 1 clash of the season at Ainslie Park but the Hibees sent City crashing out of the SWPL Cup semi final with a 3-1 win just a fortnight ago.

Both are undefeated in the league so there’s a lot riding on tomorrow’s clash.

“We have another tough match in prospect this weekend,” head coach Grant Scott said. “We’ve worked hard all week and we are now looking forward to the match.

“We’re well aware how evenly matched the two sides are so hopefully we can produce a solid performance as we know any slips ups will be punished by City.

“It feels a shame that the fixtures have thrown us together three times in the last month, but the players are strong enough to deal with it and we’ll be ready.”

Meanwhile, Spartans Women will be aiming to recover from their midweek thrashing by Celtic when they host Forfar Farmington at Ainslie Park.

Paul Greig’s side were beaten 5-0 by the visitors on Wednesday night but could move to within a point of tomorrow’s opponents with a win.

In SWPL 2, Hearts travel to league leaders Motherwell while Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale are at St Johnstone.
