Scotland centre Matt Scott has prompted another injury scare as the Six Nations Championship looms by picking up a hip injury which rules him out of Edinburgh’s Guinness Pro 12 clash with Treviso at BT Murrayfield tomorrow night.
Scott, who is only four games into his comeback after missing the start of the campaign and Scotland’s summer tour, is said to have damaged a “hip flexor” and is replaced by Sam Beard in a four-change (one positional) team compared to that which defeated London Welsh in the European Challenge Cup last Sunday.
Other changes see Alasdair Dickinson and David Denton return after injury for Rory Sutherland and Tomas Leonardi, respectively.
However, Ross Ford is still missing as he recovers from a back complaint and Stuart McInally, currently being converted from back row to hooker, again sits on the bench to cover his old position.
