The champagne corks were popping at Hawthornden on Saturday night after Lasswade sealed the BT National Division Three title.
With promotion already in the bag, the Midlothian side travelled to face Dumfries Saints knowing that a bonus-point win would clinch the silverware.
And they delivered in style with Neil Clark bagging a double and Dale Robertson and Mark Billingham also crossing the whitewash while Lewis Clarke landed a conversion and a penalty in a 25-3 win.
The result also dealt a fatal blow to the promotion challenge of Dumfries. And, despite a disappointing 14-13 defeat away to Hawick YM, Preston Lodge will also play at a higher level next season. The narrow-defeat bonus point was enough to ensure the Pennypit men cannot now be ousted from second spot.
Third-placed RHC Cougars needed to take all five points from their match at Murrayfield Wanderers in order to preserve their aspirations of stepping up. However, they fell just short, taking the honours 21-5.
