Ben Inglis scored two tries as North Berwick secured a home win over Hawick Linden in BT East One on Saturday.
It was the East Lothian side’s 12th league win of the season, the other try scorers being Nick Hammond, Lee Inglis and Murray West.
Liam West also kicked one conversion as they won 27-13.
The bonus point win leaves North Berwick eight points behind leaders Berwick with three matches to go after the latter edged closer to the title with a 77-3 thumping of Portobello at Cavalry Park. The defeat leaves Portobello in second bottom spot.
Linlithgow look set to finish in the top half after they stayed fifth with a 34-10 home win over Duns.
Leaders St Boswells edged closer to the title with a 54-8 win at Bangholm against Trinity Accies.
Leith took a big step to securing a third-placed finish after they saw off Inverleith at Academy Park. The home side came out on top 36-15, scoring five tries to pick up a bonus point in the process, meaning they are eight points clear of Inverleith with three matches left to play.
Edinburgh Northern defeated Penicuik 36-15 at Inverleith Park.
Bo’ness are still looking for their first competitive victory in their first season in the league after they lost 40-5 at home to Gala YM in BT East Three.
And, in a cracking encounter, Queensferry edged out RDVC 38-33.
