North Berwick’s unbeaten start to the BT East One season continued on Saturday as they saw off Duns to make it four wins from four.
The East Lothian men really have hit the ground running in 2015/16 and at the weekend they were in clinical form.
Murray West led the way with two tries, while they ran in four others. They came from Liam West, Blair Ward, Lee Inglis and Graeme Fairgrieve, with West kicking four conversions.
The 38-5 result leaves them top of the table and, along with St Boswells, one of only two unbeaten sides to date. St Boswells’ fourth victory on the spin came against Hawick Linden 68-8 and it looks like they will be long-term title challengers.
Peter Walker scored a cracking try and Murray Hastie and Alex Godsmark were amongst the other scorers as Murrayfield Wanderers won 32-22 in an entertaining match at Linlithgow.
Dunbar got their first victory of the campaign in style by winning 43-20 away to Dalkeith
Forrester were also on the road and managed to come out on top 38-27 at Hawick Harlequins.
Penicuik are still undefeated at the top of BT East Two after a 35-21 win against Portobello at Cavalry Park. Edinburgh Northern, Leith, Trinity Accies and Ross High also recorded victories in the same division.
Lismore made it two BT East Three wins out of three after a 38-0 triumph at Walkerburn. RDVC beat Queensferry 47-12, but the Edinburgh University Medics lost 54-20 at Earlston.
