Preston Lodge moved a step closer to the RBS East One title on Saturday when they won and closest rivals RHC Cougars were defeated.

The East Lothian side now have a lead of ten points over the Capital men with four and three matches left respectively.

Preston Lodge were at Dunbar and won 32-10 with a bonus point. Tries came from Blair Robertson, Darren Eales, Euan Higgins and Paul Glynn while Graeme Patterson kicked the rest of the points.

North Berwick have moved into third spot after they put in an excellent performance to see off the Cougars 21-12.

Grant Spence, Graeme Fairgrieve and Connor Johnston scored the NB tries with three conversions from Grant Craig.

Linlithgow edged out Langholm 15-14 while Portobello are now 11 points clear of the relegation zone after seeing off Duns 34-8.

Dalkeith have a seven-point lead at the top of the RBS East Two table with three matches remaining after a 43-10 win at Penicuik, leaving the latter in the bottom two.

Chris Naylor and Paul Clugston both scored two tries apiece for Dalkeith while Stevie Halliday, Gary Smith and Jamie Simpson all crossed and Clugston added four conversions.

Forrester beat Earlston 30-0, Trinity Accies beat Leith 49-12, Inverleith saw off Lismore 22-7, but Edinburgh Northern lost 59-10 at Berwick.

Broughton won 34-0 against Queensferry in RBS East Three, but RDVC lost 20-10 to leaders Gala YM.
