A number of men’s and ladies’ rugby teams will descend on Raeburn Place tomorrow for the Hunters Residential Edinburgh 10s.

After the success of the day in 2014, the organisers are proud to welcome back many top quality performers including a lot of Capital-based BT Premiership and National League One players, to take part in the tournament.

Local teams involved in the men’s event include Edinburgh Accies, Murrayfield Wanderers, Bo’ness and the Steve Sims Cavaliers. Appearing for the first time is the School of Hard Knocks Scotland team, an Edinburgh charity. Callum Black from Edinburgh Accies has put the squad together along with Boroughmuir’s Ross Young and Mark Billingham (Lasswade). Jordan Edmunds, who won the BT Cup with Booroughmuir in April, is in the squad.

Foul Fashion won the main men’s Cup in 2013 and 2014 and, 12 months ago, Watsonian Rory Steele was player of the tournament.

In the ladies’ tournament Murrayfield Wanderers and a Broughton/RHC Select are amongst those involved.

Meanwhile, after last week’s win in the first leg of the GB7s at Meggetland the Co-Optimists are in Coventry tomorrow for the second leg. Amongst the squad are Boroughmuir duo Greg Cannie and Alex Cox and Watsonians teenager Reiss Cullen. Scotland Sevens player Mike Fedo, who has previously played for Watsonians and Edinburgh Accies, will be playing for Samurai at the event.
